“ We got 3 cake slices- carrot cake, strawberry, and cookie dough. I was between a 3 and 4 but decided to round up because the carrot cake was really good. We were not a fan of the strawberry. It didn't taste artificial which was good, but it was just so sweet we actually couldn't eat it. Given the slices were about $10 each, it was pretty unfortunate. The cookie dough was good, but I wouldn't get it again. I love looking at all the desserts at the shop and there are tables you can sit at. ”
“ Just so you know, I don't like cupcakes. I do consider myself to be a cupcake expert however. At least if we are talking about Red Velvets. I had a job in DC once, and they sent me out to try every Red Velvet cupcake in town. My boss wanted to give a box of red velvet cupcakes as a reward for something... anyhow, I had to eat a shit-ton of Red Velvet cupcakes. What does this have to do with the Little Cupcake Bakeshop? Not much... but I wanted to make sure you knew I had some street cred. Even though I really don't like cupcakes, I do love the Little Cupcake Bakeshop. I love the way they neon'd up the place, and I like to come in whenever I am walking around SOHO or thereabouts, and look at all the artistically crafted desserts. The displays in here are beautiful. The prices are reasonable. The staff seems nice. I don't know why anyone wouldn't like going here... even if they hate cupcakes. The last time I passed by, I went in and got a Red Velvet cupcake. I liked it. I liked the box it came in better, but the cupcake was great. If you recently pissed off your girlfriend, bring them down to NOLITA and buy them a couple of Red Velvet cupcakes. It worked for me. ”
“ idk what you put in the princess cake but I'll take 5. holyyyyy smokes that was good. That thing hit me like when you find a pair of perfectly fitting jeans after trying on seventeen terrible pairs. absolute bliss. so yeah I'll be back tomorrow ”
“ The Brooklyn Blackout cupcake was decent--the cake itself was solid, nothing crazy. The frosting had great consistency, but instead of a deep, rich chocolate flavor, it leaned more towards a vanilla-sweet chocolate, which wasn't my favorite. The strawberry shortcake cupcake, on the other hand, was SO GOOD I don't usually go for berry flavors, but I couldn't resist since it looked so cute. The frosting was perfect, with a touch of fresh strawberry jam that added just the right amount of tartness. The cake itself had a subtle strawberry twist and I really liked this attention to detail. I'd definitely come back for this one and to try a different cupcake instead of the Brooklyn Blackout ”
“ I placed a large order for pickup for a coworker's birthday celebration. I had to accommodate many dietary restrictions and wanted something that would show up nicely. This bakery has large pretty pink boxes that they put their goods in. They were willing to switch things around in the boxes for me and helped me make a box look fuller by adding additional paper. The one thing that disappointed me was that they couldn't write happy birthday on the cupcakes and the candles they sold were super expensive. I ended up getting $1 candles nearby at Five Below. In terms of the food, everyone seemed happy with the mini cheesecakes and cupcakes. I didn't think the gluten free and dairy free banana breads were anything special but loved the gluten free dairy free raspberry square. Would definitely be back for those raspberry squares. ”
“ I've been here several times and have tried multiple flavors including vanilla, chocolate, carrot cake. It's a little pricey but it's a solid cupcake spot! It's not too sweet but still satisfying. Service is quick and there are a small handful of tables inside. ”
“ One word : Delicious! After grabbing a pizza for dinner , we decided to grab a few sweet treats for a late night snack. We are on vacay so I quickly looked up this place and I'm so glad we did. The staff were really nice especially since they were a few minutes from Closing . They didn't rush us or anything. The strawberry shortcake was the favorite of the 3 choices but they were all really good. We ordered a carrot cake cupcake and a vanilla one as well. The interior was so cute and I'd love to sit and enjoy a coffee & cupcake so I will definitely come back before we leave! ”
“ It seems that people overhype this place in their head. I had the coconut cake and it was really good! And that's all I'm looking for! The cake was solid, the coconut filling and the marshmallow icing was really good! One thing I really liked about it is that it wasn't sweet and I really really appreciate that in a baked good! The space itself is a lot of fun and really cute! Give it a chance! ”
“ I didn't know about all of the fun publicity and notoriety surrounding Little Cupcake Bakeshop until after I left with my delicious cookie dough cupcake. It seems I may have missed out on the chocolate cake and coconut cake judging from these other reviews, but I gotta say - I think I'll be back! Soho location is perfection for grabbing a sweet treat before your night out after dinner. Or for grabbing a cake on the way to a party! Bring the party cake! Cupcake was sweet but lacked the texture I love. Just on the side of too crumbly to enjoy. I will try more items in the future and love Little Cupcake's history here in the neighborhood. ”
